Bonnie Lynn Ridley

  On Sunday, August 14, 2022, Bonnie L. Ridley, loving Mother of two passed away at the age of 70.

  Bonnie was born on November 26, 1951, in Casper WY as the only child of Enos and Mardi Abeyta. She graduated from Kelly Walsh in 1970 and went on get her drafting certificate from Casper College.

  The greatest love in Bonnie’s life were her two boys, Aaron and Evan Ridley, who were her pride and joy. Bonnie left her job in Wyoming’s oil and gas industry in 1983 to devote herself to raising her two precious boys. 

  Bonnie was a very sensitive, loving, creative, determined and intuitive person with an amazing work ethic. She was very spiritual, and always believed in empathy, not sympathy. Everyone who knew Bonnie knew of her passion for rescuing and caring for animals especially dogs. She always had more than enough room in her heart and home for a pup in need. She sincerely loved animals, from saving baby birds she would find in the yard, to anything lost, homeless or in trouble.  Bonnie truly loved music, especially smooth jazz and loved to attend live jazz performances.  Her collection of jazz CDs was a wonder to behold. In her younger days, Bonnie was an avid gardener as she grew older her garden might have shrunk but not her love for flowers and the beauty of nature. In 2005 Bonnie suffered the complete loss of her hearing. However, in 2006 Bonnie received the first of two surgeries to receive cochlear implants, which gave the ability to communicate, but her life was never the same. She would often have vivid dreams where she could hear the music perfectly.              

  Bonnie is preceded in death by her loving parents Enos and Mardi Abeyta. She is survived by her two sons Aaron and Evan Ridley, her first husband David Perotti, and second husband Woodrow Ridley.

  The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Bustard’s Funeral Home, officiated by Tim McNutt of Salt and Light Church.
