Billie Ruth George passed away peacefully on the morning of September 72,2013 after a lengthy bout with Alzheimer's. She was 88 years old and had been a resident of Life Care in Casper for several years. Billie was born in Ripley, Mississippi on August 16, 1925 to Jack and Lettie Mae Luftenberg. When she was just 17 years old she married Virgil William George in Memphis, Tennessee. For the next 20 years she and her husband lived in numerous locations throughout the United States. They settled in Casper in 1961 and were later divorced. For many years she worked as a dietary technician with the Natrona County School District and worked at Kelly Walsh High School. Everyone said she made the best cinnamon rolls!!! Billie was a great cook and loved baking - her home always smelled of fresh baked bread or homemade cakes and pies. She loved to can also and her homemade pear preserves were some of her children's favorites. She was proceeded in death by both her parents and a son, Richard Lawrence George who passed away in 1999. She is survived by four children in Casper, Janice Ruth Scriven (David), Jennifer Ann Klungness (Kirk), William Michael (Molly) and Robert Earl (Edie), and a daughter Carol Lynn Beauchamp (David) of Casa Grande, Arizona.
