Mass of Christian Burial for Bill J. Thein, 80, will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church by Fr. August Koeune. Viewing will be from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM followed by Vigil for the Deceased at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Rite of Committal will be conducted at Highland Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. Bill passed away on October 22, 2010 at Meadow Wind Assisted Living Community. Bill was born in El Reno, Oklahoma on May 29, 1930, the son of Felix and Minnie (Bishop) Thein. He attended schools in Oklahoma City. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. After his discharge from the Army, Bill lived in California for a short time. He then moved to Casper, Wyoming, where he met his wife, Cleo Cisneros. On April 24, 1954 he married Cleo at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Riverton, Wyoming. They lived in Casper where the couple raised their three children. Bill was a factory representative for Wyandotte Chemical Company and worked in outside sales for Wyoming Automotive Company in Casper. He also managed the Wyoming Automotive Store in Worland, Wyoming. Bill and his wife, Cleo, owned and operated two used car dealerships in Casper. Later, he became an agent for John Alden Life Insurance Company. He was also employed as an account executive for the stock brokerage firms, E. J. Pittock and Co., and then Neidiger Tucker Bruner, Inc. for several years until he retired in 1993. After retirement, Bill enjoyed spending time at Alcova Lake with his family and having coffee with his friends. He also enjoyed playing bridge, as well as traveling with family and friends. His family will remember him as being a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Bill is survived by his three children, daughter, Kathy Christensen and her husband John in Casper, daughter, Becky Sadler and her husband Greg in Denver, son, Ron Thein in Denver, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His sister, Annie Sewell of Kansas and many nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo, his parents, two brothers, Ed and Ray Thein and two sisters, Jackie Patterson and Marie Thein. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions.
