According to her wishes, there will be no funeral service for Betty (Betts) M. Neal, 92. A private memorial service will be held by the family. Cremation has taken place and inturnment of cremains will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Bustard's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. She died at Wyoming Medical Center on December 12th, 2012. Betty was born November 23, 1920 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Harry J. and Clara (Carstens) McAuley. She attended schools in Omaha and worked there as an operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. In 1941 she moved to Fort Peck, Montana, where she worked in the U.S. Army Finance Office. She married W.S. (Bill) Neal in Fort Peck, MT in 1942. In 1943 they moved to Montgomery, AL and Cape Girardeau, MO. They also resided in Wichita, KS, Greenville, SC, Omaha, NE and Bismarck, ND. In 1956 she and the family moved to Casper, WY where her husband was transferred by Pure Oil Co. Betty served as a VISTA Volunteer in 1986 and 1987 with Wyoming Senior Citizens INC, was active in WY Senior Olympics and spent many hours working as a volunteer for various Casper Organizations. She enjoyed reading, gardening and baking. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, a son, Jimmy Scott Neal, a sister, Marilyn Waters of Thornton, CO, and a daughter Kathy Bruce. Survivors include a son, Gordon Neal and wife Nannette Sommers of Cypress, TX, one daughter, Janice Kruzich and husband Martin of Casper, WY; five grandchildren; Greg Lindsay, Paul Lindsay, Melina Riva Brott, Kaylee Neal and Kirstin Neal; 4 great grandchildren; Zachary Lindsay, Jordan Lindsay, Sage Lindsay and Izabella Brott; and numerous nephews and nieces. The family would appreciate memorials in honor of Betty Neal to be given to the Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation, P. O.
