Betty Jane Grotha (Malone) was born September 14, 1921 in Newburg, Missouri to Daniel and Wilhelmina Malone. She lIved in Newburg until she met a handsome soldier returning from WWII. Lawrence and Jane were married September 13, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James, Missouri. They spent 61 years together on their farm north of St. James where they raised their 2 children. She enjoyed watching the cows graze in the pasture and loved tending her garden and flowers in the yard. Lawrence preceded her in death September 7, 2008 and son Larry on January 23, 2013. Also preceding her death were her parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She moved to Glenrock, Wyoming in 2013 to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Jane is survived by her oldest sister Margaret Cook of Newburg, MO, daughter Susan and husband Les of Glenrock, WY, grandchildren Buck (Jayme) Bennnigton and their children Brayden and Brynn of Laurel, MT., Jeremy (Nicole) Bennington and their children Genevieve, Garrett and Gabrielle of Castle Rock, CO., also numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Glenrock, Wyoming, with Fr. Robert Fox and Deacon Kevin Halvorsen officiating.
