Barbara Rose "Bobbie" Zink, 83, passed away on May 28, 2016, at Wyoming Medical Center, following a sudden illness. Born on September 6, 1932, in Sedalia, Missouri to Anna and Jerry Sullivan; she was the youngest of five daughters; Sully (Emmalee), Hazel, Jerry, and Patti Anne. Following high school, at age 16, Bobbie moved to Phoenix, Arizona to work at a radio station, WKOB, from there she moved to Las Angeles to work for the telephone company. Through her travels she met Charles Clayton "Chuck" Zink during his college years at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Clayton and Bobbie were married in Glendive, Montana in 1952, a union that blessed them for 58 years. Clayton passed away from cancer on August 3, 2010 in Victoria, Texas. Bobbie returned to Casper for ten months, and then spent a year in Victoria. In 2012 Bobbie relocated to Casper to live with her daughter Terry. Bobbie's love for animals, especially horses, started at an early age as she would save her money to buy straw and prepare the garage for the horses she requested each Christmas. Her horse finally arrived when she bought it for her kids! Bobbie was a scout mother, 4-H leader, a basketball mom, rodeo mom to all, a very proud mom, grandmother and a devoted wife to Clayton. She loved traveling, reading, knitting, bridge, photography, golf, shelling and attending rodeos to watch her kids and root for all. While living in Casper, Bobbie worked for Pure Oil Company and Casper Clinic as a receptionist. In Texas she was a volunteer for the Texas Parks and Wildlife, guiding Shelling Tours. The beach was a place she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton; her parents Anna and Jerry Sullivan; Sisters Hazel, Jerry, Patti Anne and Ermalee (Sully). Survivors include her son Jerry (Pam) Zink, of Sun City, Arizona; daughter Terry L. Zink of Casper; grandson Jonathan B. Zink of Lakewood, Colorado; and special friend and caregiver Judy Olson. Six nieces; Linda (Pat) Proctor of Hartford, Connecticut; Cindy (Frank) Breiver or Charleston, South Carolina, Robin Autenrieth of College Station, Texas, Diane (Randy) Stephens of Houston, Texas, Pat (Steve) Barak, Joanne (Bob) Dudley of Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Goddaughter, Barb (Jim) Lee of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; special lifelong friends of 62 years, Boyd and Wanda Hall; Randy and Michele Hall of Casper. A celebration of Bobbie's life will be held from 1-6PM August 27, 2016, at her daughter Terry's home, located at 13400 State Highway 220, Casper, WY, 82604. Memorials can be made in care of Bustard's Funeral Home to establish a rodeo scholarship fund.
