Barbara Pringle

August 30, 1931 — October 4, 2011

On Tuesday, October 4th, Barbara Lee (Hawkins) Pringle left this world to be with her God and Savior. She was born to Emma and Fred Hawkins in Reno, Nevada in 1931. After the passing of her father when Barbara was just a young child, she moved with her family to Casper. She lived in Casper most of her life and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1949. After high school, Barbara Lee met the love of her life, Harry Pringle, and they were married on August 13, 1950. As a young wife and mother, Barbara journeyed with her husband, Harry and their three children to the Republic of Singapore, where they lived for eight years, returning to Casper in 1973. Barbara loved God first and foremost and her passion was to create beauty. She loved to sing and meditate on God's word. She also had a heart for those less fortunate, which led to her involvement in the founding of Interfaith of Natrona County, Inc. She, along with Joyce Bryan, her long-time friend and co-worker, served as co-directors of Interfaith for over ten years. Barbara was also a very active member of 1st Presbyterian Church for many years. Barbara is survived by Harry Pringle, her husband of 61 years; her sister Joann Bishop (spouse Marvin Bishop III) of Casper, WY; son Steven Charles Pringle (spouse Linda Chambers Pringle) of Bozeman, MT; and daughter Patty Hines (spouse Gary Hines) of Casper, WY. She has three grandchildren: Stephanie Delong (spouse Rob Delong) of Winfield, KS; Christopher Hines and Jennifer Hines and one great-granddaughter Emma Delong. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Hawkins and Emma (Kerns) Barr, stepfather, Chuck Barr and son Danny Pringle. Funeral services for Barbara will be held at First Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2011. Viewing will be from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2011 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery immediately following the church services. Memorial donations may be made to Interfaith of Natrona County, Inc. or First Presbyterian Church.
