Barbara Pearson

Barbara Pearson, born February 5, 1947 to Delores (Lebsack - Wheatland, Wyoming) and Leonard Cundall (Glendo, Wyoming) in Wheatland, Wyoming, passed away on April 24, 2017 of cardiac arrest following a brief illness and a very full life. Barbara moved to Cody, Wyoming as a young girl, with her family, where she graduated from Cody High School in 1965. She graduated from Northwest Community College with a nursing degree and began her career as a nurse, working at West Park Hospital and Long Term Care in Cody, Wyoming, followed by Life Care Center, Shepherd of the Valley, Wyoming Behavioral Institute and Poplar Living Center in Casper, Wyoming. She had two sons: Leonard Ellis and Jayson Ellis. Barbara married Don Pearson in 2011 after they reunited through junior high and high school classmates and friends. They, both being retired, enjoyed each other and participated in many activities together, being avid cribbage players and traveling to many tournaments, fishing, camping, golfing and trips to casinos. She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Pearson of Casper, Wyoming, sons Leonard Ellis of Gering, Nebraska, Jayson Ellis (Jessica) of Cody, Wyoming, two stepsons; Jason Pearson (Karen) of Casper, Wyoming and Mark Pearson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was blessed with six grandchildren; Thomas, Natasha, Robert, Lucas (Leonard) and Jade, Tanner (Jayson), four step grandchildren; Alex, Julia (Jason) and Zac, Reese (Mark) and one great grandchild; Cooper (Thomas). Barbara is also survived by her sister Kerri Presenkowski (Don) and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Russell Cundall. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, April 29, 2017 at Bustard's Funeral Home, Casper, Wyoming with burial and memorial services to follow at 1:00 PM on May 6, 2017 at Cody Four Square Church (725 19th Street) in Cody, Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to a hospice of the donor's choice in memory of Barbara.
