Barbara Niesen

Barbara Rae Niesen, 83, passed away at Life Care Center of Casper on April 19, 2017. She was born in Casper, Wyoming on June 11, 1933 to Quentin and Helen Deloris (Conley) Gould. She graduated from Natrona County High School and studied music, piano, and business at Casper College. On March 10, 1957 Barbara married Richard Niesen and the couple raised three beautiful daughters. In her free time Barbara volunteered at the elementary schools and at the daycare center at Casper College. She enjoyed ice skating, reading, and attending plays. She loved music and playing the piano. Barbara always looked forward to each Spring and the planting of her flowers, particularly enjoying her petunias and irises. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Quentin and Helen Deloris (Conley) Gould. Barbara leaves behind her husband, Richard Niesen of Casper; daughters, Cheryl Niesen of Casper, Debbie (Chris) Morshead of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Sandra (Robert) Fullerton of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughter, Nicole Morshead of Fort Mill, South Carolina; and grandsons, Kyle and Ryan Fullerton of Phoenix, Arizona and Shawn and Shane Patrick of Casper. Funeral services will be at 10:00AM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Bustard's Funeral Home, Rev. Brian Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Her family suggests that memorial contributions in Barbara's name be made to the Casper Humane Society, 849 East E Street , Casper, WY 82601.
