Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara Foster, 89, will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church by Fr. Philip Vaske. Viewing will be from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 pm, Monday, November 22, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Vigil for the Deceased will be recited at 6:00 PM, Monday, November 22, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home. Rite of Committal will be conducted at Holy Cross Cemetery in Billings, Montana, at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 24, 2010 with Fr. David of St. Bernard's Parish conducting. Barbara died November 18, 2010 at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home in Casper, Wyoming. Arrangements are under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Directors and Crematory in Casper, WY. Barbara was born December 30, 1920 in St. Libory, Nebraska and was the daughter of Raymond and Anna (Mueller) Hager. Barbara grew up and around St. Libory. She was working for the Army Secretarial Service in Edmonton, Alberta when she met her husband Thomas E. Foster, who was in the Army Air Corp. Barbara and Tom were married on August 29, 1943 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. To this union, nine children were born. Barbara became a full-time mother and once her husband was out of the service he went into the oil and gas industry and the family lived in several places until settling in Billings, Montana. Her husband passed away in 1989 and Barbara remained in Billings until 1997 when she moved to Casper. Barbara loved doing yard work and planting flowers. Her yard and home in Billings were her pride, joy and solace. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, baking and reading. In later years she volunteered at St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings; the libraries of the Catholic school in Midland, TX and later at St. Anthony's Catholic School in Casper. Barbara is survived by two daughters, Ann (Bruce) Seely of Craig, CO. Elizabeth (Gerry) Wolfe if Lloydminster, Sask., Canada; six sons, Thomas B. (Julia) of Aurora, CO, William (Bonnie) Casper, WY, Anthony (Margaret) of Baton Rouge, LA, Gregory of San Antonio, TX, Kenneth (Tammy) of Bowie, TX and Matthew (Sherry) of Reserve, LA; one son-in-law, Chuck Winn of Craig, CO; twenty seven grandchildren and forty five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Janet of Craig, CO; her parents and her four sisters. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the St. Anthony Tri-Parish School Library in Barbara's name.
