Audrey C. Gillett, 65, of Casper died August 25, 2010 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, WY due to complications of Type 1 Diabetes. She was a resident of Casper for 42 years. She was born November 20, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan to Helen Greyger and Carlton Kellman. Audrey attended Wayne State University and the University of Colorado School of Banking obtaining a graduate degree in finance. Her intelligence, curiosity, and people skills led to a life long career in banking and commercial lending; starting as a teller at Bank of America and working up to executive positions with Hilltop National Bank, Mountain Plaza National Bank, and WIDC/Frontier CDC. Many local business owners who are successful today received their first loan from Audrey. She was active in community organizations such as the Desk and Derrick Club, the Petroleum Club of Casper, was a member of the National Association of Banking Women, and member of the National Association of Realtors. Audrey was a lifelong dog lover and often showed her dogs in American Kennel Club competitions. Audrey loved living in the outdoors and enjoyed what Wyoming had to offer. She loved to hike with her dogs looking for artifacts and had a large collection of arrowheads that she found here on Wyoming ranches. She enjoyed fishing and camping throughout Wyoming with family and friends. She also loved cross country skiing in the winter months. Audrey made friends easily and was a confidant of many. Her humor was appreciated by many and her laugh was recognized by all. She was generous to all that knew her. She is survived by her brothers Carl "Corky" Mack and Ray Mack II (Barbara), her sister Robin Licata (Jerry); two daughters, Maureen Oellrich Comings (Bob) of Scottsbluff, NE.; and Kerry Oellrich Derrick (Mark) of Arvada, CO.; and her five beloved grandchildren: Alex Godfrey, Lindsey and Makayla Comings, Ryann and Mackenzie Derrick. She was preceded in death by her parents Helen (Greyger), and Raymond Mack, and her husband Keilly Gillett. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 3, 2010 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church by Fr. Philip Vaske. Vigil for the Deceased will be recited at 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Bustard's Funeral Home. A reception will follow the Mass. The family would like to thank Mr. Pat Sweeny for his generous donation toward the reception. For those wanting to remember Audrey through memorials, the family is suggesting two organizations that will benefit her love of dogs as well as an organization to help find a cure for juvenile diabetes.
