Our husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle,
Atilano (Tillie) Armijo went home with our Lord on Saturday 9/12/2020.
He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Born to Juan and Simona Armijo-Manzanares on April 8, 1933. Attended Laramie High School and at age 17 joined the army, serving in the Korean War received a purple heart.
Married Eleanor Lara in 1956, they had four children. Moved to Casper in 1992. He loved hunting and fishing, but most of all his horses. He owned horses for most of his life.
Survived by his loving wife Eleanor, sons Ronnie, wife Cathy, Andrew, wife Debbie, daughters Denise McAfee husband Perry, and Deneen Garcia husband Juan, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brothers Amos and Bobby Armijo, 2 sisters Mary Porter and Emily Lesczynski, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Juan and Simona, brothers Clark, Frank, Herman, Johnny, sister Lola, and grandson Michael Steven Armijo.
A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at Paradise Valley Christian Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home , 600 CY Avenue, Casper, WY 82601.
