Arlan Edwin Engstrom, 85, of Glenrock, Wyoming passed away on December 28, 2020 at Wyoming Medical Center.
Arlan was born at Wakonda, South Dakota to Edwin and Ruth Engstrom on September 29, 1935. He went to high school at Elk Point High School, Elk Point, South Dakota and graduated 1953. He was in the United States Airforce and served some time in Iceland. After the Airforce, he worked various jobs before going to work in construction for Coors Brewing Company for 26 years. He received numerous awards during his time at Coors. He was a past member of the Elks. He was a member of the Jessie Martin American Legion Post #9 and a member of the Casper Antique and Collector’s Club. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, coin collecting, and hand crafting guns and knives. He loved to travel and took many trips with his wife and friends across the United States and also to his ancestry homeland of Sweden. He enjoyed meeting at the Glenrock Senior Center for meals and meeting friends and attending Bingo with Gina, although he did that just for her. Arlan was the kindest man and never met a stranger. He would lend a helping hand to whoever needed it.
He is survived by his wife, Gina (Regina) Engstrom and children James Engstrom, Connie Tallich, Sandy (Bob) Messer, Kathy (Larry) Dolsby, Steve (Angel) Engstrom, Cookie (John) Max, Ken (Kathy) Keenan, Linda Ransom, and Debbie McMullin, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Deborah Mustard.
Graveside services will be held at the Glenrock Cemetery on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. with Military Honors. Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home of Casper, Wyoming will be handling the arrangements.
