Archie John Alm passed away at Meadow Wind Assisted Living on Friday, May 27, 2016 surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Fremont, Nebraska on November 6, 1928 to Georgia Hart and Archie Alm, he spent his early childhood in Nebraska and Douglas, Wyoming, moving to Casper in 1946. He attended NCHS and graduated in 1947. While at NCHS he met the love of his life and married Marjorie Harris on October 3, 1948 at the First Christian Church. They celebrated their 67th anniversary on October 3, 2015. He worked as an oilfield mechanic for Gehring Equipment Company, Engine Service and True Drilling. He retired from True Drilling as shop foreman in 1994 after 30 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, the "Tool Timers", golfing and fishing and the occasional trip to Las Vegas. He enjoyed his trailer at Alcova Lake and spending time with family especially with his two special grandchildren. During his stay at Meadow Wind, Archie enjoyed the many activities, the staff and especially the bus rides around the Casper area. His family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Meadow Wind and Central Wyoming Hospice for the care given to Archie. He is survived by his wife, Marge; daughter, Karen; and family friend, Noreen McHugh; son, Ron (Shelly) of Louisville, CO.; grandchildren, Madeline "Maddie" of Boulder, CO., Landon of Lakewood, CO.; brother, Bob (Donna) of San Diego, CA.; sister in law, Patsy Alm; special niece, Valerie (Scott) Jamison of Ellicott City, MD; and their daughter, Alexandra "Alex" of Medford, MA.; sister in law, Elaine (Leroy) York; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Johnson; brothers, Richard and Donald; step brothers, Leslie and Raymond Bullington. Memorial contributions in Archie's name may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice or the Casper Humane Society. Memorial services for Archie will be held at Meadow Wind Assisted Living on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Chaplain Ken Martin officiating.
