Anthony James "A.J." Pettrini died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on April 4, 2016, at the age of 94. He was born on Oct. 20, 1921 in Detroit, Mich. and served his country in WWII as a decorated B-17 pilot. He met his wife Anne Troth shortly after his return home and they married on August, 14 1946. They moved to Casper, Wyo. in 1949 and raised three children Tom, Elree and Valarie in their beloved Milton Street home. A.J. established a successful accounting and real estate business and continued to fly planes. In 1962, he built a cabin outside of Pinedale, Wyo which continues to be a cherished family destination. He was a common fixture on Casper golf courses and retired in the mid-90s. He is survived by his children Tom Pettrini, Valarie White, his grandchildren Cass Huber (Hannah), Jared Huber (Tia), Tony White and Sterling White, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Anne, his daughter Elree, his in-laws Tom and Eleanor Troth and his son-in-law Bob White. Funeral services will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Casper on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, St. Mark's Episcopal Church or an organization of the donor's choice.
