Angus Walker

March 14, 1928 — October 6, 2018

Angus "Gus" Walker 90, of Gillette Wyoming passed away from an unexpected illness on Saturday October 6, 2018, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Angus was born to Angus C. Walker and Mary (Cunningham) Walker. He was born and raised in Casper WY, attending St. Anthony's Catholic School, Natrona County High School, Casper College and Denver University, Denver CO, where he earned his degree in Human Resources and Business Accounting Management. Angus entered the U.S. Navy in 1948 and served his country in the Korean War through April of 1952. He married Nancy Wenzinger Newman on April 18th 1953, together they had 3 children and he helped raise his wife's daughter. He loved his Yorkie companion Reba, she brought him tremendous joy. He enjoyed playing golf, watching football, hunting, fishing, traveling, his family and friends. Gus is survived by his daughter Yvonne Walker of Casper, son Greg Walker (Francine) of Buffalo, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his wife's daughter Carol Newman Harkin (Randy) of Billings MT, their 2 sons and 4 grandchildren, and a niece Tommy A. Tiedaman and her family of Houston TX. He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Eager, wife Nancy and daughter Loretta Wilson. Graveside services will be held on Friday October 19th 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Father Cliff Jacobson of St. Matthew's Catholic Church at the Mt Pisgah cemetery located at 804 S. Emerson Ave., Gillette WY. Immediately following services, a luncheon will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church located at 900 Butler Spaeth Rd., Gillette WY.
