Alvin Olson

Alvin E. Olson of Casper, WY passed away peacefully on February 23, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He began his life journey September 12, 1922 in Banner, WY. Alvin (Ole) is survived by one sibling, Roy (Bud) Olson, five children, Sheila Robing, Kenny, Denny, Eddie Olson and Susan Stevens. Ole has 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He served his country in the Navy and Marines during WWII and the Korean War. He worked for the city of Anchorage, Alaska, then as a radio technician in Yellowstone and Isle Royale National Parks. After moving his family to Casper, WY he was employed by the FAA and the Bureau of Reclamation as an electronics technician. We will genuinely miss his quiet unassuming, kind loving influence as well as his humor and intellect. Services will be held on Thursday, February 28th at 11:00 AM at Bustard's Funeral Home followed by the rendering of honors at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville, WY at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners, 1501 West 39th Street, Casper, WY 82604 would be appreciated.
