Services for Alvin Robert Janak, Sr , will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 13, 2012 at Bustard's Funeral Home with Pastor Lynn Williamson officiating. Viewing will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Bustard's. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens following the service. He died April 9, 2012 at Central Wyoming Hospice after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 27, 1922 in Loop City, NE, to Stanley and Henrietta (Klotka) Jonak and moved to Casper in 1939. He served as a Pharmacist Mate in the Navy during World War II. On March 22, 1946, he married the love of his life, Myrtle Franklin. He worked for over 36 years as a body shop foreman at Nagel Motors in Casper before retiring in 1984. Al enjoyed fishing, bowling, and, especially, Bingo. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Myrtle (Franklin). He is survived by his children Caroline Patrocelli of Casper, WY, Sharon McFarland, of Kerrville, TX, Rob Janak of Casper, WY, and Sandra Turner of Casper, his brother Wes Engleman of Evansville, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Bustard's Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12, from 3 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice.
