Allison Claire Powell was born on September 10, 2010 and met the Lord on June 27, 2024.
Allie was born to Matt and Andrea Powell in Colorado Springs, Colorado and was the youngest sibling to Katie, Titus, and Henry Powell. As a pastor’s daughter, Allie grew up in an environment in which even mundane conversations were saturated by God’s word. Allie thrived in this inherently educational environment and was formally homeschooled by her mother. She had the privilege of being raised in the same home with her grandparents, Greg and Terri, and enjoyed spending time with them. Allie’s passionate spirit and entertaining quirks were a beautiful configuration of these influences through her childhood.
Allie wore her heart on her sleeve, feeling every emotion, anger and love, sadness and joy, to their fullest. From concerts where she never stopped dancing for a second to fiery tirades against injustice, Allison experienced every precious moment authentically. Her heart was full of love, especially for her beloved pet bunny, Felix. She was never stingy with her love and easily forgave others. From board games with her family to inevitable theological discussions, Allie never shielded her opinions or personality. Fueled by her faith and love for the Lord from a young age, Allie was a beautiful, unapologetic Christian whose grasp of doctrine could be quite intimidating. A talented artist, she loved sketching anime and practicing painting with her grandmother. Her appreciation of beauty and goodness colored everything she touched. This creative nature often left Allie daydreaming in her own amazing world, probably involving plenty of dragons and wicked warlocks.
Allison is survived by her parents Matt and Andrea Powell, her siblings Katie, Titus, and Henry Powell, her grandparents Greg and Terri Hager and Penny Powell, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandfather Bud Powell and Uncle Joe Powell.
A service in honor of Allison’s life will be held Monday, July 8th, at 11:00 am at College Heights Baptist Church (1927 S Walnut St., Casper WY).
Condolences can be sent to Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home (600 CY Ave, Casper WY). The Powell family wishes to sincerely thank College Heights, Bustard & Jacoby Funeral Home, their beloved brothers and sisters at Christ Reformed Church, and the countless others who have offered support.
