Allen Leroy Corkill

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Allen Leroy Corkill, who left us on August 16th, 2024, at the age of 81 of Glenrock WY. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of many talents and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. 

Allen was born on January 8th, 1943, to Carl Eddie Corkill and Elizabeth Gladys Corkill, in Riverton WY. Allen graduated from Natrona County High School in 1961. He went on to be a successful business owner of Corkill Drilling and an amazing father to five children. Later he met the love of his life Charlotte. Allen and Charlotte were married February 25, 1995, and spent 29 wonderful married years together, and Allen was lucky enough to add three more children to his family. 

Allen had many interests in life, and they included anything that moved fast. He enjoyed motorcycle racing, car racing, and flying. When he was unable to participate, he equally loved to attend and travel to watch Nascar with his family when he could. Allen was also a talented mechanic, if it had an engine, he loved it and was ready to work on it. He could get just about anything running and everyone knew it; he was the go-to when someone needed help. Allen also enjoyed being outdoors packsaddle racing, fishing and hunting. Allen built two beautiful homes and a cabin over the years that he enjoyed. 

Allen was predeceased by his father Carl Eddie Corkill, mother Elizabeth Gladys Corkill, brothers Duane, Gerald, and Bob, and beloved grandson Kable Wayne Castleman.

Allen is survived by his wife Charlotte Corkill, children Teresa McGlade (Dan), Bret Corkill (Wendy), Tammy Osborne (Brett), Brad Corkill (Denise), and Tiffany Meisinger (Bart), David Forney (Amanda), Richard Forney (Debbie), Crystl Peasley (Kenny); Grandchildren, Sheena Siscoe (Brett), Colby Davis (Lindsay), Sierra Aaberg (Tate), Brice Corkill (Caitriana), Tace Meisinger, Breken Corkill, Tierney Anderson (Brady), Gage Castleman (Jaycee), Tavee Tarver (Wyatt), Jaden Forney, Sophie Forney, Heavyn Forney, Mya Wieser, Kamryn Forney, Aiden Forney, Nolan Peasley; Great-grandchildren, Myah, Pierce, Asher, Jaxon, Kellyn, Kimzey, Kylan, Khari, Esme, Mila, Kayce; Siblings Clyde, Cleo, Dale, Irving, and Elsie Gray. 

They all loved him dearly and were so grateful to have him in their lives. A funeral service will be held on Friday August 30th, 2024, at the Radius Church at 4301 Casper Mountain Road at 10:00 am. There will be a celebration of life directly after the services at Gruner Brothers Brewery located at 1301 Wilkins Circle.
