Alice Maddoux

Alice Whitehead Maddoux was born October 14, 1920 a few miles out in the country from Palestine, Texas to Ernest and Angela Whitehead. They lived on a farm for many years and when she was 15 years old they moved to Pennington, Texas so she could go to school. She married William Buford Maddoux in 1940. They lived for a year on the farm at Kennard, Texas. In 1941 they moved to Baytown, Texas where he went to work for Exxon and she went to work for the medical profession. They had one daughter, Carol. The family belonged to Second Baptist from 1947 until 2012 when Alice moved to Wyoming with her grandson. Buford passed away in 1980. Alice passed away at Life Care Center of Casper on May 6, 2018. She will be buried next to her husband at 10:00 A.M. on June 2, 2018 in Pennington, Texas, Pastor M.L. Magee presiding. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, William Buford Maddoux; and parents, Angela Blance (Kiser) and Martin Ernest Whitehead. Alice is survived by her daughter, Carol (R.L.) Cody of Cresbard, SD; grandson, Jason (Terri) Dunnahoe of Glenrock, WY; granddaughter, Bonnie (Robert) Hess of Naylor, MO; great-grandsons, Mathew McClintick of Moorecroft, WY and Jordan (Maryah) McClintick of Richlands, NC; great-granddaughters, Seana Metzler and Shandi (Chris) Welch of Casper, WY; two great-great-grandsons; and two great-great-granddaughters.
