Memorial services for Mrs. Alice Kuhn will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 30, 2011 at the LDS Stake Center, 3931 West 45th Street, Casper, Wyoming. Mrs. Kuhn, 77, passed away December 15, 2011 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Alice Kuhn was born on January 21, 1934 in Smoot, Wyoming, to Frank and Alice Hill. She was one of 11 children. When she was 12 years old, their family moved to Saratoga, Wyoming, where she continued her schooling. After finishing high school she attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie where she met and married Joe Cassinat. They had 6 children. They were then divorced and Alice went back to the University with her children in tow. She was determined to graduate,which she did wiith a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Library Science. She met John Thomas Kuhn, Jr. during her Senior year and they were married on June 26, 1971. The new family moved to Casper and Alice began substitute teaching in north Casper and then got a permanent position teaching 3rd grade. Later she transferred to Willlard School and taught 5th grade. She went on to become certified to teach Learning Disabled students and travelled to 3 different schools to teach. Then, after 23 years of teaching, Alice retired in 1994. Her next big adventure was traveling with John to different parts of the world, and traveling to see children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by John, her husband of 40 1/2 years; her daughter Linda Cassinat Mann of Gilbert, Az; her daughter Shelly Cassinat Ritthaler and her family of Upton, Wyo ; her sons Joseph Cassinat and his family of Calgary, Canada; John Cassinat and his family of Elk Grove, Ca; Tony Cassinat and his family of Gilbert, Az; Eric Cassinat and his family of Gilbert, Az; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grand-children, and 3 great grandchildren due in 2012.
