Alfred Wesley Reeves, 84, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Casper. Al was born February 4, 1931 in Marysville (Cooke County) Texas. He was the eldest of 10 children born to A.C. and Myrtle Reeves. His family moved to West Texas in 1936 and settled in Midland in 1939. He graduated from Midland High School in 1948 and also attended Wayland College in Plainview. He married Patsy Ruth Wood in Midland on September 15, 1950. While working in the oil exploration industry, his job took him and the family to many states, including Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico. He moved to Casper in 1968 and in 1971 he started Natural Resources Engineering Company which he operated until 1988. Before retiring in 1994 he worked as a Permit Agent for Arma Geophysical Company. He and his wife spent several winters in Tucson but always returned to Casper in the spring. Golf, fishing, reading and working crossword puzzles were his favorite pastimes. He was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels. AI was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; parents, A.C. and Myrtle, brother Billy Dale; and two sisters Joan Newton and Sybil Jonas. Survivors include six siblings all in Texas, Betty Bagwell; Charles; Leroy (Mary); Nancy Young (Wayne); Bobby (Shirley); and Beverly Shelton (Ernie); four children, Rich (Janene); Steve (Chenoa); Kathy Sehorn (Mike); and Wes, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m Saturday, April 11th, at Bustard's Funeral Home. At his request, memorials can be made to donor's choice.
