Alexandros Lampros

Alexandros "Alex" Michael Lampros passed away on May 4, 2018 at the age of 86. He was born in Casper, Wyoming to Mike and Alexandria (Roussalis) Lampros on April 27, 1932. Alex graduated from Natrona County High School in 1951 and attended Casper College for two years. He served in the US Army and was sent to Fort Ord, California and was assigned to the battalion motor pool until 1955. When he returned to Casper he worked for several years in construction. In 1958, he was granted a State Shotfire license. Then he went to work for Stafford Well Service, managing roustabout crews and coordinating pulling units in the field. He developed uranium properties for mining and sale for Mile Hi Uranium and Oil in Linch, Wyoming. Alex was a heavy equipment operator for Getty Oil, and the Pathfinder mines in Shirley Basin retiring from the mines in 1984. He was married to Teddie Stiles in 1979 in Casper, the couple later divorced. Alex was a devoted driver for Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, often taking more than one route a week. He enjoyed square dancing and often attended conferences in Nebraska and Utah. Favorite pastimes were his weekly poker and pan games and an occasional fishing trip. He was a member of the AHEPA Lodge Chapter #159. Alex was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by cousins, Metta S. Roussalis, Louis S. Roussalis (Linda), Georgia Roussalis, Mary Kofakis, Joanne Dunham (Eric) Denver, CO, Metta Martin, Dr. Louis J. Roussalis (Cathy), Dr. John Roussalis (Darallene), and other cousins; his fiancée, Jo Ann Wass, and family, Ed Garner and Hailey Garner, all of Casper. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, May 10, 2018 with a Trisagion service and AHEPA Lodge service starting at 7 P.M. at Bustard's Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
