Albert Dana Wallingford, 88, passed away at Life Care Center of Casper on August 23, 2014 following a lengthy illness. Dad spent most of his life working in the oilfields of Wyoming, Montana and Texas. He was born May 31, 1926 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. He graduated from high school and on his 18th birthday, enlisted in The United States Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained on Okinawa. Dad was very proud of his service to his country. He was a very patriotic man and passed his love of country on to his children and grandchildren. He married the love of his life, Donna Lee Bilyeu, on September 19, 1948. They were married 64 years until Donna's death in 2012. They enjoyed many active years camping, boating, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling in the mountains of Wyoming. Dana leaves behind his daughter, Starla Gay of Odessa, TX, and sons, Dana Lee (Corkey) of Gillette, WY and Randy L. of Las Vegas, NV.; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors foundation in lieu of flowers, or to the charity of your choice.
