Services for Albert S. Kukura will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 16, 2012 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob McNamara officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the church. Military honors will be accorded by the Natrona County United Veterans Council and the Wyoming Army National Guard. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. Mr. Kukura, 98, was born January 22, 1914 in Bear Creek, Montana, the 7th of 8 children born to John and Susanna (Cserniski) Kukura. His brothers and sisters were John, Julia, Mary, Joseph, Edward, Ann and William . He was a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army during WWII, serving in France Belgium and Germany. While in the service, he was awarded the American Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was involved in the Normandy, Northern France and Central Europe Campaigns. He was married to Margaret Korman, the love of his life, on November 6, 1937. She died tragically, along with their infant sons, in childbirth. He worked for the Burlington Northern Rail Road from 1945 to 1962. After his retirement, he worked for his nephew's company Houston Supply. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Barbara, John, Fred, Doris, Nancy, Susie, Katherine, William and Anita. Mr. Kukura had many great nieces and nephews, Hayley, Ryan and Courtney were among his favorites. He was preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings, his beloved wife, Margaret Korman, infant sons and nephews, Larry, Robert and James. He will be missed by all who knew him.
