This is to announce that Alan E. Leske passed away after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer on September 25, 2018. Alan was born in Glencoe, MN and grew up in the Minneapolis area. He graduated from Hopkins Senior High School. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in engineering from the University of Minnesota. His education led to a distinguished career in the oil and gas industry, taking him to Texas, California, Alaska, and Wyoming. After retiring in Casper, Wyoming in 1994, Alan worked tirelessly for 20 years as a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels. He was also the beloved "swim dad" of the Natrona County High School swim team, of which his son, Cavin, was a member for three years. That involved driving across the state to countless meets, lending a hand with timing, bringing lunch to the hungry team, and cheering for everyone on the team (but especially Cavin). Throughout his life Alan always put the wishes of others before his own. He was so selfless that he would insist on his family deciding where to go for his birthday dinner. "Wherever everyone else wants to go is fine with me," he would invariably say. Alan was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jeanne, and his son, Cavin. Per his wishes there will be no memorial service. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bustard's of Casper, WY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Natrona County Meals On Wheels: 1760 East 12th Street, Casper, WY 82601.
