Agnes Christine Williams, ‘Chris', 90, of Casper, WY, passed away December 6, 2013. She was born April 4, 1923. Interment was December 19, 2013 at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Emil Barnum Jr. and Basil Lloyd Williams; her son Richard Ernest Moore, and her beloved Seeing Eye dog, Pokey. Surviving family include her daughter Lula May Bain, of Casper, her son Ira James Barnum of Delaware, Ohio, her son David Edward Williams of Askov, MN, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Chris was born and raised near Worcester, MA. During WWII she went to California and worked in an airplane factory as a "rivetor". She also worked as a cobbler making shoes, a seamstress, a cook and manager of a restaurant, and helped her friend with a store. On January 18, 1962 she married Basil Lloyd Williams, the love of her life. Chris had an unusual zest for life. She loved reading, cooking, sewing and was skilled in many crafts such as making copper jewelry, beading, and knitting. She was an accomplished homemaker and enjoyed hosting her friends and family. She lived the last 10 years of her life at Park Place Assisted Living. She will be remember for her love of people, her phenomenal sense of humor, and the wisdom she gained through her multiple and varied life experiences.
