Aaron James “AJ” Henson, age 28 of Glenrock, WY passed away on May 1, 2023, in Casper, WY.
AJ was born December 2, 1994, in Cody, WY to Jim Henson and Lisa Eichler. He attended and graduated from Cheyenne East High School in 2013. He was a proud hard-working businessperson. He enjoyed all things outdoors, racing, horses, guns, and attending sporting events. AJ grew up around a racing community where he grew to love the sport of motocross at the early age of 5. His competitive nature drove his success not only in racing but in every aspect of his life.
AJ’s greatest accomplishment in life was his marriage to Kaylynn Henson (Kindt) of Glenrock, WY and being an immensely proud father to their daughter Reagan Henson (7), and son Bracken Henson (2). In the short years of their marriage AJ and Kaylynn started successful businesses from the ground up. They truly balanced each other out.
AJ’s memory still lives in those survived by him; his father Jim Henson, sisters Marquax, Jennifer, Leanne, Danell, Jessica, and brother Mikey. AJ’s siblings have described him as a jokester, a stuntman, being good at everything, dancing, being stubborn, and as anyone that knew him would know, he did not have much of a filter. Outside of his siblings, AJ was his nieces and nephews' biggest fan. From playing video games, to whipping them around on the tube at the lake, to being on the sidelines yelling for everyone to hear. He is survived by multiple nieces and nephews.
AJ’s numerous friends were a big part of his life. He would describe them more as family. Some of the things he enjoyed doing with them included lion hunting, camping, cars, ranch rodeos, being at the lake, golfing, and he was never one to turn down a bet or a challenge.
AJ is preceded in death by his mother Lisa Eichler, brother Brian Richardson, grandparents James and Betty Henson, and niece Haley Carey.
AJ had a one-of-a-kind personality, paired with contagious humor. He contributed to the community in many ways and made a significant impact on countless lives. From coaching T-ball and basketball to helping random strangers in need.
Memorial Services will be held at the Glenrock High School Gymnasium Friday May 5, 2023, at 10:00 am with reception to follow at ECI. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
